1. End-users and flexibility

In the past, the energy companies have been the central actor of the energy system, with the passive end-users paying whatever bill from energy retailers and DSOs. This is about to change and more and more end-users become active prosumers. The inclusion and involvement of end-users in the future energy system will be imperative for its success. To innovate and improve performance, old solutions and ways of thinking must give way for new solutions, and the solutions of tomorrow will centre around the end-users.
